Wow.

What an unbelievable week! My heart is overjoyed and I am so, so GRATEFUL.

I had a lot of tender mercies and miracles that once again showed me God's hand in my life. I know that He is real. He is always there just waiting to bless us. So this week, a virus turned into a sinus infection...haha My body is just about done I think. So I went into the 11th arrondissement in Paris France to visit yet again another doctor. haha That was a surreal experience! He told me I had a sinus infection and he put me on some antibiotics and other meds! Lots of them! And guess what? Through a lot of prayers, they are working! Through the strengthening and enabling power of the Atonement, He is supporting me to the very end.

A few weeks ago, President Babin contacted me and asked me if I could put a musical number together for the Paris Stake Conference in our mission. I told him of course! I prayed a lot about it and that day in church and during sacrament meeting I had a vision! And I was able to arrange a musical number for the missionaries. I worked with another elder and he wrote some new lyrics, I wrote the music and it was INCREDIBLE to watch how God works! President was so supportive and willing to do whatever He could to help. We were asked to play for the Paris Stake. It isn't my stake, but President gave us permission to go! So this weekend we stayed in Versailles. Beautiful, beautiful, Versailles!

The Stake Conference took place in the Grand Palais, a few feet away from the Château de Versailles. Absolutely beautiful. We had a choir of about 45 missionaries and we practiced beforehand. Through the conference, we were just praying our hearts out that there would be angels singing with us. That we would be able to touch the hearts of these people, and help them hasten the missionary work in Paris. As another number, we did the quartet that we arranged for the fireside in Aulnay a few weeks ago. It was incredible, and they sang beautifully. We were the closing number. Before we began, President humbly bore his testimony of this work and said that our musical number was his prayer. We started playing and singing, and the angels joined us. It was breath taking. I'll never forget that experience. As I looked around at these missionaries that I've grown to love, and President and Soeur Babin, and the hundreds of people listening from this country. It was humbling. To hear the music that God placed in my fingers being performed in the Grand Palais in Versailles France, my heart couldn't take it anymore. What a special moment that I'll never forget. I was brimming with gratitude.

Another tender mercy happened! At the end of the stake conference, I was on stage and in walks...ELDER FONTAINE!!!! The famous mission companion of our dear Elder Cameron It was so cool! It was such a miracle that we were able to meet! It wasn't my stake conference and normally I wouldn't have been there. A complete miracle! We were able to talk about Loge and he told me how much he loves him and what a difference he is making. It was such a tender mercy to talk with the last person that's been with him and hear how he is doing. He was so kind and from all the missionaries who serve in his branch, they say that the Fontaines are incredible and some of the greatest missionaries ever. A fun little tender mercy.

This week, we also had a surprise visit from President Poznanski at our district meeting! Torcy is the headquarters for the church in France so he was being interviewed for the church. He walked into our district meeting and we had a nice chat. Oh how much I love that man! And how much I miss him! He carried his light in and his sense of humor as always. He caught up with us all and it was so great.

This week I studied a lot more about light. I read Elder Anderson's talk, "you know enough" and just loved the symbolism and simplicity he gave. "As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have enormous spiritual reservoirs of light and truth available to us. … In our days of difficulty, we choose the road of faith." I love that no matter the road we face, no matter the challenge, we, as disciples of Jesus Christ have an enourmous spiritual resevoir of light! Think of that mental image! That brings so much hope and love and can help us through any difficulty we face. I can feel that power each day. And I have loved feeling it out here. The power of God's light is real.

Well, I am beginning the last week of my mission. And I couldn't be more grateful. I am filled with such joy and happiness and inner peace and I'm so excited to see what miracles await us each day. I know this work is real. And I am eternally grateful to be a witness of His love.

So i know what you are all wondering, what is going to happen to elder cameron. for his companion is going home, will he receive another, will he go to another area, stay tuned for this weeks transfer anylisis on cmm-espn channel 2, if it has something to do with transfers we`ve got it.

this transfer anylisis has been brought to you by vitamin c, if you have got a cold overdose is the way to go. 

so i will now tell you, elder fontaine and i have been together for 6 weeks and i can honestly say he is my favorite companion. he has helped me so much and i am going to miss him. elder cameron will be receiving........ a new elder from the MTC. yes ladies and gentleman he will be training. 

there you have it. we will see how it goes.

so this week was great. the only problem is that i am a little sick. i have caught a cold. but mother you would be so proud of me i attacked this cold with on guard and other oils. The members here are so nice. We visited one family and the mom asked if i was sick and then she gave me some meds. Then we went to another family and the same thing happened. except the dad said i have some vitamin c do you want some. i said yes please. then he said I usually take about 10! haha his wife looked and said QUOI DIX PAR JOUR??? what ten a day? you are crazy ahah. so he gave me 5 which is still crazy. if you could overdose on vitamin c  i would be dead.

but i think its working.. i am feeling better. 

we received a new senior couple who will be teaching the institute classes. they are super funny we helped them move into their new apartment. the elder said during his welcome talk: le president m`a dis que mon temoinage doit etre short and sweet. alors je sais que sweet ca va dire bon bon and short est la pantalon courte, donc j`ai rien compris. haha

translation the president told me that my talk needs to be short and sweet. i know that sweet means candy and short are short pants so i didn't understand anything. haha i was laughing so hard. 

we had some good lessons this week. we taught that miracle referral. it was tellement bon as we say in french. we have some great plans coming up too.

well elder fontaine has to do many things today to get ready to go home. 

i am sure i will have some good stories for next week

Hello Tout le Monde!

This week was fantastic. First off, i have to tell my brother that I am SO PUMPED for him! and he will just be the best trainer in the world. Here comes Elder Shum shum? right? That'd be swell. i got a nice little note from him! My friend is teaching him in the mtc and they all sent me a birthday card. It was really nice. Your bleu may have signed my card!

This week was awesome! We had a lot of neat things. Today we climbed the Eiffel tower! holy hannah. My heart. One of the greatest views I've ever seen in my life.  I got to give my dying testimony in Paris. That was really incredible and a cool experience. Each zone conference they have the dying missionaries share their testimony. You go your whole mission listening to elders and sisters and then all of a sudden its you! It was a lot of fun and really symbolic for me. It was fun testifying with my MTC companion. Zone conference was great. Love the Babins.

We also had a really special meeting! It was broadcasted throughout Europe. It was the first time in history that they had a woman's meeting just for the European sisters. Elder Ballard and Elder Bednar came and other Area Authorities and just blew it out of the water! It was absolutely incredible; Elder Bednar talked about the strengthening and enabling power of the atonement specifically for women and it was so inspiring. They thanked the powerful European women for what they are doing in the church. It was really special to hear them talk to my women. These women here in France are strong. They are pioneers and they are elect incredible women. I have gained many heroes here in this country and I will never forget their strength and courage to raise their children in the gospel in a country faced with worldly trials.

I also got to go on an exchange with...SOEUR LEFRANDT!! woot woot! My MTC companion and one of my best friends! I love Soeur Lefrandt and it was incredible to serve with her and talk with her and be missionaries together again. She is absolutely amazing and has served a mission of love. She is powerful and has become a STRONG woman! We found a woman who had lost a baby and doesn't believe in God because of that. We testified to her together of God's love and power and she was touched. We prayed with her and she really felt something. It was so special. I love her a lot and am excited to end our journey together, right how we began! We'll be coming on the plane together.

We also had an amazing ward activity! It was our Soirée Internationale! Our ward is super diverse and we had members from China, Peru, Greece, and Italy present their country. It was a dream! I felt like I was traveling the world! We danced the famous Greek dance (the one they do on when in rome!) we learned an italian song and sang together, we ate incredible food! and took a tour of China. I was in heaven. We had SO many people turn up! Almost too many. haha there were more nonmembers there than members and we were all just running around getting to know everyone and teaching! We found a woman last week from the finding day and she came with her boyfriend! It was so cool. I love that the gospel is true wherever we go.

This week I found the cutest talk from President Monson in 1999 to the Young Women. He said something that i loved. "We must gaze upward, look inward, reach outward, and press forward" isn't that beautiful? I loved how that applied to light as well! And how we can find the light of Christ in all of those manners of action. We find the light in God as we look to Him then we can find it in ourselves, give that to others and see it in them, And move on throughout all the days of our lives to spread His light abroad. So beautiful.

Well folks,

Real sorry that emails were down yesterday! That was a real bummer. But i'm glad i got a little time to write to you today and let you know how much I love and appreciate you! First off, thank you so much for the birthday money and wishes! So kind of you all. Thank you thank you. And yes em, my anthem: i am feeling 22. Tswift sings it best. This week was absolutely incredible and one I will never forget. So many miracles and experiences that I will hold dear to my heart forever. The true week of Natalie Palooza.

So this week I was sick for a few days and was bummed! Because on Friday we had a finding day with the Lyon mission so that throughout all of France, all of us missionaries were going to find together all day. We prayed for everyone every 30 minutes and tried to find 4 amis each. So I prayed my little heart out that I would be well enough to go out. And miraculously I woke up feeling so much better! The day before I had slept most of the day, yes mom, i got lots of rest. you would've been proud! So we prayed really hard. And we went out. In the first 10 minutes we got a ladies number, then found another woman who we taught on the street and she became a new ami! Crazy. Then we went out and ran into a woman I had contacted over a month ago. The spirit reminded me of her name and I contacted her. She told us her father is dying and she needs help. We set a rendez-vous with her and she's actually coming today! We went back for lunch, i slept, then we went out again. We went to the doctors and we taught the secretary! Left the doctors, went out again and found 2 more amis in an hour. It was absolutely incredible; Throughout the whole time from 9 in the morning to 9 at night, we all prayed every half an hour for each other. And as a mission we saw SO many miracles! It was unbelievable. I will never forget it. God takes care of us and as we give our wills to Him, He'll make us strong enough to do His work.

Saturday we had our beautiful baptism. Marie-Line was just radiating light and so excited. The elders were so great and helped us get everything ready and tons of the ward showed up! We were so grateful for their support. I'll never forget standing outside of the font, towel in hand, watching her walk in the water towards Elder Coulombe. She was so nervous and once she entered the water, it was like He entered her heart. She felt such peace and love. The smiles on both of their faces are hard to forget. She came out and we had a chance to talk and she was just smiling from ear to ear. She told us that her new life started that day. Everything else was behind her. So beautiful. We surprised her and all the missionaries sang "Abide with me" her favorite hymn. It was pretty special. 

Sunday, the official Natalie Palooza day! Church was beautiful. They even announced my birthday over the pulpit...haha #onlyinfrance. Marie-Line received the Holy Ghost and was just glowing. She was so happy and even bore her testimony in Testimony meeting. She bore her testimony to her children and told them how much she loved them and wanted them to have this joy too. Well, miracle, we started teaching her daughter Priscilla and slowly she is opening up. It was a dream.Marie-Line is on fire. She gave me a birthday present. Turns out she's a published author and writes poetry. She wrote me a poem about light. Can you believe that? She had no idea. It will be a treasure forever. After church we ate at the Anderson's! They are American and made me homemade mexcian food. Ah how much i miss that! it was to die for. Afterwards, the elders surprised us with a "natalie palooza" cake and we ate it at a park. They are the kindest elders and best friends in the world. So blessed.

Yesterday we went and visited Les Invalides and went to the war museum and saw Napolean's grave. We visited the WWII museum! One of my biggest dreams. I just love Paris. We even walked by Rodin's "thinker" and took a nice picture. This place has my heart.

I absolutely love this life and this work. And I know it's God's work. I know that He could do it all, but He loves us enough to teach us and use us. This week as I've studied light, I have realized so much more about His character and who He wants us to be as well; Mom your quote hit it on the money when you said, "We do not need to fight darkness.  There is no struggle or fight when you flip on a light switch and fill a room with light.  That is how we fight darkness.  We fill the world with light." God wants us to fill the world with light. And to me that is one of the most beautiful things in the world. "I met a stranger in the night, whose lamp had ceased to shine. I paused and let him light his lamp from mine. A tempest sprang up later on and shook the world about. And when the wind was gone my lamp was out. But back came to me a stranger his lamp was glowing fine. He held the precious flame and lighted mine." If we want more light, we need to glow ourselves. That's the beauty of the gospel.

good morning

so emily i have a question for you, i am sure you know what is coming. who is this little lad who is going to take you on a date? i am a little sad that you did not tell me maybe i know him! i could give you advice. and i am your older wiser brother as such you should confide your trust in me. so think

to answer your questions: the canadian air is crisp. just the way i like it. we are not changing colors yet. it may have something to do with the elevation perhaps. i am basically at sea level. But what do i know? that is special that you got a visit from an old companion of natalies. i bet that was a treat for you all. 

 

this week was a hoot. let me tell ya. i have 4 funny/inspiring stories to tell, so sit back and relax, maybe make some hot chocolate.

the first:

so background, about two weeks ago we had an old couple move in from west canada. they are originally from france but have lived all around the world. The woman has alzheimers and requires 24hr attention. the husband is a really good man and takes care of his wife. she is a member, he is not.... yet. so we went to visit them to make sure that they got everything taken care of. we offered to go on a walk with them because they had not left the apartment since we helped them move in because he has trouble getting the wife's wheelchair through the door because there is a step. so being the strong young pups that we are we lifted the chair over the step and went on a walk. the man is 84 and he has a gas problem. he farted at least 6 times while we were there. and he has no shame. I was trying so hard not to laugh, once i couldn't control myself and i let out a giggle that i tried to cover up with a cough... usually always works. but he said no you see what awaits you when you reach my age. haha what a funny guy. 

the second: 

we had zone training meeting this past week and we gave a training, elder fontaine and myself. we talked about becoming finders. finding new investigators. we talked about how we become finders, it all starts with our understanding of the atonement. on page 2 i think of preach my gospel there is a line that says, as your personal understanding of the Atonement grows so will your desire to share it. So we started with this, we gave the challenge for everyone to study more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.. Becoming a finder is not just for full time missionaries. it is something that each member of the church should be working on. we are all on the same team and we are all baptized members which means we all have made some promises and one of those promises is to stand as a witness of Jesus Christ.

the third:

i went on an exchange with a very new elder from idaho. i think he has been in the misison for almost 3 months. he is great. It reminded me a lot of when i started my mission. He was having similar feelings that i had about a year ago and i was able to tell him some of the things that helped me make it through those hard times. I think the best medicine sometimes is to laugh. so we were having a great time. he reminds me so much of brayden. he even looks like him too. 

the fourth and final:

we got a media referral this week. it was a miracle for sure. we didn't have any concrete plans for the night. we had just planned on passing by some less actives and some formers but we got this text with the information and off we went to contact it. it is protocol to contact within 24 hours of receiving the referral. the man answered the door and we were able to talk to him for about 10 minutes. we testified to him and we set a return appointment. It was incredible to hear the response that he gave to our questions. he said he was looking for some change in his life. it was great to feel the spirit there we could see the potential he has and one day he will be a bishop or a branch president or the elders quorum pres. I cant wait to see him progress

GOOOOOOOOODDDD morning

how are y'all doing today. as for me and my companion, we will serve the Lord and we are great! we are having a great time. I am just loving it here in ste foy. 

we had a great week. monday we went to the falls on the south shore. I hope you enjoyed the pictures i sent you. we went with the other elders  in quebec city. we usually hang out with them on pday because we are all alone up here. there are only 2 teams of elders and 2 of sisters and everyone else is really far away.

this week we had the epluchette de blé d'inde. that was special. i have never ate so much corn in my life. It was fun. we played soccer, basketball, the kids had les jeux gonflables these blow up bounce house things. we had 4 investigators come and a lot of less actives. all you have to do is say do you like corn and then 9 times out of 10 they say yes. then we invite them to come and eat free corn and hot dogs and play games. who wouldn't want to come to that!

we had a cool miracle this week. we went to a formers house and his roommate answered. we talked with him for a long time. he invited us in and we talked about the gospel for a good 45 minutes. it was great. we are going to go to his house again and hopefully teach everyone in the apartment

yesterday was a cool day. we had  a surprise at church. i guess there was a cruze ship that docked close to quebec city and so about 10 members came to visit our branch. all of which were american. so all of the missionaries had to translate. i was translating for a couple from california. they were really nice. it is fun to translate i had to do it last week too. we have  a chinese lady that comes to the branch and she only speaks madarin and english. 

we have a great week coming up i am excited to teach the Gospel. I love you all very much. sorry it isnt much this week i will do better next week. dont worry mom i am healthy i love my companion i dont need much, life is good

Hello everyone!

What a beautiful week! We spent a lot of time preparing Marie-Line for her baptism and visiting with her! She is doing just fantastic and lovely. She is so excited for Saturday. It will be the best birthday present ever! We also spent a lot of time with members this week. We made a goal to be in contact with members every day and it was incredible the miracles we found from that! I have been studying light this week even more and have found some incredible things. I studied the new and everlasting covenant and the light poured through my heart! Teaching me new things I hadn't known before. I saw many "pillars of light" every single day.

Marie-Line shines brighter than anyone I know. She is a different person than she was when I met her. And this week, she has taught me what the Atonement of Jesus Christ can do in someone's life. The minute she accepted her Savior in her life and heart, she hasn't turned back. She has a desire to serve and love everyone around her. She smiles and is bursting with happiness! She is more confident in herself and finds answers daily from Heavenly Father. I know He loves her so much and I can feel that everytime I'm with her. Saturday will be one of the brightest days of my mission. And Sunday might be even brighter! Because she understands the light that will come into her heart. And she can't wait.

We also met with many members who gave us their testimonies and conversion stories and how the light entered their hearts. We met with many less actives as well who once had the light and want more than anything to have it back. I also read about another reactivated member. I studied the story of Alma the younger and the light that he received. This time reading it, I was really touched by the angel that came to visit him. I think that it's interesting that we don't know who the angel was. We don't know his name or what relation he had with alma before this life. But in my mind, I imagined him as someone who knew him really well. Someone who stood with him, and who saw the greatness that Alma the Younger would become and leave on the earth. The people he'd teach. The conversion he'd bring about. The lives saved and touched. The missionary work fulfilled. He came with those feelings in his heart and tells him that He was sent from God.  I love how the angel tells alma to STAND. And he does something really incredible. He begins to remind Alma who he really is inside. Who he was before this life. In the previous chapter we learn that Alma had a gift.

I believe that Alma has a gift with words. At that moment in his life, he was using that to sway people from God. The angel calls him to begin using it for good. And the coolest part of the whole story, is that he did. How many times in the Book of Mormon did people see an angel but didn't react. I love Alma. And I also love the angel. I believe that we don't know who he is, so that we can see each one of us in his eyes. My dream is to be like him. To help people remember who they are and to help them rise above and STAND. I want to waste and wear out my life in helping people feel that the CAN change and they will with the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That is what true missionary work is; It's loving people enough to help them change.

I love my mission and my life and all the changes God has given me. I love the time that I have now to continue to change every last minute. the past 22 years of my life have been such a gift and a blessing and I'm excited for this year. My 22nd year to give to Him and to continue to learn and grow and bring more light into my soul.

Hello friends, family, loved ones

man this week was great. it is so great to be a missionary right now in this day and age. to be a servant of the Lord fulltime and to teach others about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. i am so happy to be on the Lords team.

Everytime i think about emily at a cash register i freak out a little bit. i am still not over it. the only register i have ever seen her on is one that was made of plastic and had fake money. this is not right. i hope work is going well for you em. i remember the days of working in the real world. that was neat

speaking of neat things dad that tempest that waged in amercan fork sounds crazy. i hope that everyone is alive and well.  we have had some pretty crazy rain over here too. some days it just rains all day, and pretty hard. but today it is a beautiful day and we are going to the water falls! 

Mother i am in no current need of physical things. just keep praying for us missionaries. that is all we need to live. 

that is super funny that the little boy had a great day because of cookies. the same thing happened to us. we had these really good cookies and after that i was happy, reminds me of the time we were at youth conference and we had cookies in the basement of the members in manti. those cookies were amazing. i couldnt sleep after that

anyways... this week was a good one. we had a lot of funny things happen some cool miracles and some great talks

so first story, we were teaching english class and i was explaing the work ``nice`` i told the class that you can say oh you have a nice car or a nice dress. then a lady said, with a really thick french accent, you have nice eyes, so i said thank you, then she told me that she was not talking to me she was just using to word in a sentence. haha man it was hilarious all of the class started to make fun of me after that. I like english class. it is super fun. we always have a good time. 

second story: we were going to a former investigators house to see if we could visit him but unfortunately he had moved. But the lady that answered the door was really nice. we started talking with her to see if she was interested and we found out she has family that are members of the church.!!!!! how crazy is that. then we asked who they were and my companion knew one of them really well. it was super cool. there is no doubt in my mind that this was not just a coincidence. The Hand of the Lord was in this for sure. 

We had a priesthood meeting for the stake this week. it was really good.. it was held in drummondville which is the halfway mark for a lot of the wards. our stake geographically is giant. it is basically the entire penisula of quebec. the meeting was about addiction and how we can either get over it, help those who suffer from it, and how we can prevent ourselves from becoming slaves to it. it was a really good meeting. I think the main thing that i was reminded in this meeting is that we are never alone. even when we think we are. there is always someone that we can reach out to. And of course we always have a Savior to follow, Jesus Christ is the only way to become free. we watched a presentation on pornography and how horrible it is and how easy it is to access. The numbers are astounding. 9 out of 10 teenage boys view pornography regularly. that is scary. The man giving the presentation talked about a new website available called fight the new drug. there were a lot of great videos. It was such a great meeting for sure.

I hope all is well for you back home. Can you believe that nat is almost done with her mission. that is crazy. time is flying by so fast. 

I love you all, I am praying for you and i hope you can feel it. I know that we are in this family for a reason and i wouldn`t want to be in another one. I love each one of you so much and have learned so much from your example.. I am proud to be a Cameron

Wow, what a whirlwind of a week.

My heart is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude and an awareness that God lives. Oh how much I love Him. So Wednesday, Soeur Henson and I took our RER to Paris for the last time together. What a bitter sweet feeling. It was really hard to see her go, but I was so happy for her and the return she had with her family. She is an absolutely incredible person and I miss her so much. But I'm so excited for all the adventures that await us AM aka after mission. I met Soeur Waite and she is fun! She is from Idaho Falls and we are having so much fun together.

This week I set my transfer goals for my last transfer. I prayed a lot to know what God wanted me to know. A common theme in my life the past few months has been light. We studied it a lot and found it a lot in beautiful scenes and people. And one of the most beautiful songs ever written describes it best: "Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones and  I will try to fix you" Coldplay gets it.

My last transfer goals are all centered around light. Finding it in others, in myself, from the Savior, and letting the light guide me home. Already, it has been so apprent and real. God's light is real and when we look for it, we'll be surprised at how healing and beautiful it is.

This week we went to our ami Marie-Line's home. She went on vacation last week and had a lot of weird experiences where she was in danger. In all of the situations, she was able to remain calm and felt peace. She told us that she knew it was from God and He was protecting her. She then told us that she'd been reading. She takes her BOM with her to work and she used to hide it face down. But now, she keeps it face up so everyone can see and ask her questions. She was reading a verse this week and had an experience. She was trying to find the verse with us while we were there and she didn't know where it was! We looked and looked and we prayed and right after she found it. It was 1 Nephi 11. She read the first 3 verses and told us that she had written her testimony. She read it to us and we all wept; She told us that she knew for herself that the Book of Mormon was true. That God is real and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. That He has liberated her into becoming someone new. Then she told us that she was ready to be baptized. Oh my goodness. I will never be able to explain the joy I felt. I love that woman so much. And I will never forget her face. We prayed to know when because she was feeling in November. We told her that we knew she was ready, why wait? So she prayed, and she received a confirmation that the 6th of September was right. At church, she was just glowing taking notes and telling everyone that she was going to get baptized. She was just SHINING with light. And it was a testimony to me that He's lighting my way home.

We also saw our other amis Maryse and her husband Serge. We had an incredible rendez-vous where we taught the restoration. The spirit was so thick and they were so into it. We invited them to be baptized as a family and they were so happy and agreed that they wanted to pray and do this all together. Serge came to church and just loved every minute.He was shining as we sang. And lighting up the room.

To me, the light of christ is the illuminating symbol of the Atonement. Its effects are immediate that will gradually expand our horizons to knowing who we are and why we are here. As we become worthy to ask the question why light is such a pivital part of our mortel existence and progression, God will use this very power to illuminate our understanding and show us that He gave us His light to remember. It is a piece of Him.The very God that created us Through light, we come to know the One who created it. . I believe that light was a grand part of our premortal understanding and existence and may be why it was among the first things God created. Light is breathtaking. it is magnificant. And it is healing. At the core of each one of us, we see the same light, captivating the space of existence together as a united race of eternal beings with a potential to create a light of our own.

Through light, we see. Through this light we are led to those who need light.

Through this light, we are liberated. Through this light we are set free.

Through this light we are healed. Through this light we can heal others.

Throuh this light we become more like Him-the true light of the world.

Shining our lights all together to prepare
His path of a triumphant, glorious, and bright return.

I know He lives, and His light is guiding me home. I am enjoying and embracing every last moment that I have of this beautiful journey. He his igniting my bones and fixing me. I love Him.

Thank you for the lights that you are to me. I can feel the warmth of your lights shining all across the world, leading me home.

hey everyone! how are you all doing on this lovely summer morning? I am doing great, i am just loving this area, How neat is this: about every 3rd day someone comes up to me and says

-do you have a brother that served here?

-why yes i do have a brother that served here

-i love justin he talked to me about the priesthood, or he gave me a book of mormon, or he helped me with this problem i had.

sometimes the fruit of our labors are not physically seen for a long time. sometimes years. but i can testify that if we do our best and do what we are asked then miracles will happen. that is for sure. So great job Justin, the members here love you

so dad those tomatoes look great. mom i will pray for wendy for sure. she has always been a great friend. i like her. maybe you can send me her address and i will send a letter or something. 

em i still cant believe that you are working. what do you do? are you a bagger?  that is so weird to me. i refuse to believe it. do you drive to work? do you have a car? are you going to get a scooter? that would be cool. hey mom you should get em a scooter, then i can use it when i get home.

man this week has been a good one. last monday we visited old quebec. i am sure you saw the pictures. it was super super fun. man it is like getting into the dolorian and starting up the flux capacitor and taking that sucker back in time. we got some pain chocolat and visited a really old cathedral. 

this week we visited a former investigator named roger. he saw the missionaries a long time ago. we were getting to know him and he told us he has 19 brothers and sisters. can you imagine? that is quite a common tale here is quebec. back in the day the catholic church controlled everything. they told the members that they would go to hell if they did not keep having children. so there a a lot of families with tons of kids. Roger was super nice though. he doesn't really talk to his family much. all of his siblings live in a small town together and he got sick of the drama so he left. I really think that he will progress. we are going to ask him about baptism this week when we see him. 

we also saw Frere Leger. he is a less active member in our branch that is struggling with depression. i feel really bad for him. we have been trying to cheer him up. we were able to take him teaching with us to visit an investigator named clarence. On our way home from the visit he said, "I dont know why but i love this man, i am just filled with love for clarence, i want him to understand the gospel." I have seen that often on my mission. I have seen that members receive this gift from the spirit, the gift of charity. this is so helpful in the conversion process. My companion noticed that there was a chess board at frere legers house so he asked him if he wanted to play. so they played chess and i played some piano for them. at the end he was so happy and he wanted to help us with missionary work. he gave us a refferal and asked when he could come teaching with us. I felt a little like ammon in the Book of Mormon. we served him and he was changed and in turn he wanted others to feel the love that comes from our Father in Heaven. 

My companion goes home at the end of this transfer, just like natalie but he goes home about 2 weeks before she does. so there is a good chance that i could train derek. how cool would that be?? i would love that. we will see what happens.

it is good to be alive my friends. we have  a great responsibility to invite others to come unto Christ. i know we can fulfill our responsibilities and keep our promises if we are all working together and for the same reasons. I love you all very very much. I am grateful to have your support while i am here. Godspeed
