Logan March 31, 2014

Hello family

this week was a strange week. it had its ups and it had its downs. sometimes the ups  out number the downs. but not this week. well actually we just have like one or two downs. i am sure i could find way more ups then downs. but i just wanted to continue the song. a canadian prize for whoever can tell me where that song is from. i am glad to hear that grandpa is doing better. i hope everything goes well with him.

ok here we go.

this is an up
i went on a split with elder johnson. he is affectionately called baby face johnson. look there is a picture to prove that it is not just a clever name
he is a great zone leader who is no longer my zone leader. he got transferred. which reminds me.

i am going into my 8th transfer which happens to be the halfway mark at the end of the transfer. and i am going to .......... stay in chomedey for a 5th transfer and i am going to kill elder duran. not literally, this is his last transfer so i am his last comp. for the longest duration of anyone of his comps.

ok so back to the split. it was fun we did a lot of things. for example we went to the old folks home to do some service. this time was pretty lame because we didn't play bingo or anything. the lady just told us to mingle with the old people. so i sat down next to this old lady who started to tell me about Gods country, (I guess Gods country is in nova scotia. who knew?) and then she asked if i was in the service. it was a tuesday so i decided to have a little fun. i said, "yeah i am in the service." then she asked which branch. I said the navy. then she told me that her boy was in the navy. he must have been about my same age right? wrong. i asked when he was born. 1955. just a little older then me. haha

then i went to talk to another lady before i dug myself into a hole haha. so i went to talk to a lady from Great Britain. London to be precise.  she was funny. she told me, "the big boss came and asked me if i was doing ok and i said no and he asked why, then i told him there is nothing interesting to do. he told me talk to someone interesting. i said how can i talk to anyone interesting if they dont even know what planet they are on."
then i started laughing haha. then elder johnson looked to see if i was ok then the lady said, "dont worry i am not tickling him"

haha she was hilarious. i talked to her for a good 45 minutes.

now for a bad.

our brazilians are moving to toronto..... good for toronto, bad for us. they will be baptized one day. just not in the province of quebec.

this is them. we bought brazil shirts and had them sign the sleeve so we could always remember them when brazil plays.

we dont really have anyone else who is progressing.

but we did get a new investigator this week. a less actives girl friend has been coming to church so we are starting to teach her. they have to get married first then we can baptize her. so it may not happen soon but she is a great lady.

so while in sacrament meeting i was reading "with humble heart" #179 in the hymnal. i love the last verse a lot
As I walk daily here on earth,
Give me thy Spirit as I seek
A change of heart, another birth,
And grow, dear Lord, to be like thee.
i love this a lot. we are all here to grow to become like our Heavenly Father. so this week i am going to pray for the spirit for a change of heart to learn how to change myself to become like my Savior.
elder cameron
i love you all

hello everyone!
Thanks so much for all of your great e-mails and messages. I sure did miss you during the Women's conference and thought about you. Wasn't it powerful. Me and Soeur Richards looked at each other through our tears and for the first time in awhile we realized that we're not alone out here! Sometimes, it feels like we're alone because we're the only members out here sometimes. But we are a worldwide sisterhood with women of all different ages who are unified in our faith of the Savior. Women are powerful! And I'm so grateful for that. With the priesthood, that's what makes us complete. I'm grateful for that truth in my life. I have grown to love the priesthood so much on my mission!
This week was so great! So busy, and it's crazy it's over because I can barely remember what happened. We had exchanges this week with our STL's Sister Finneran and Sister Wade. They came here and both equipes went out and did work. We got so much done and saw a lot of miracles! Right now in our mission we're doing Easter miracles! I think i explained it a little bit but we're doing specific things to prepare our amis for Easter. When we contact people we straight off tell them about Easter and how we're here to share a message about miracles. We then ask an inspired question and ask them if we could teach their families and children more about why we have easter. It has been absolutely incredible to see the response of people! We have found more amis this week then I have here. It's amazing! We taught more lessons than I ever have on my mission and we have so many potentials. We were just running around like crazy and it felt good. We are trying as a mission to get 125 baptisms before our new mission president comes in. President Poznanski made that our goal. It made us all cry our eyes out. It's going to be a hard day in France when they leave. They have changed this country forever and I won't be surprised if he's called to be a General Authority soon. I am so grateful for the power of the message and miracle of easter!
We taught the combined meeting for the RS and priesthood yesterday at church. We talked about this adn shared the quote from elder holland's talk "none were with Him" about how Christ walked the path alone, and now, we have the sacred charge and challenge to never let Him walk that road alone again. That's really what missionary work is! Is helping others along their covenant path too! just like we learned in teh Women's conference yesterday.

We have met with our cute Jacqueline everyday this past week and we are seeing huge improvement and progression in her! I love her to death. Yesterday, we went to see her in the Afternoon. A nice little Sunday afternoon walk. Side note, she lives in a little old folks community little foyer type thing and I feel like I'm a part of it now. All the old people know us and I'll walk in and be like," hey barb how's the cat doing, your arthritis acting up again? man we gotta get that fixed don't we?" "Glenda, how are the tulips? Are they coming in alright? Can't have what happened last year when Barb's cat trampled them all now can we?" I kid you not, that's pretty much how it goes; i'm one of them. I'm officially 90 years old. Well, anyways, we came to our little community for a walk with Jacqueline; She's kinda like the cool grandma on the block. She has a little jump in her step if you know what i mean and all the other kids look up to her. We walked out with her and felt pretty cool. She walked us around Valenciennes and showed us some really old things and churches and such. And told us what it was like during WWII. Then she asked us if we wanted ice cream. We explained to her again that to keep the sabbath day holy, we don't buy things or go into restaurants; Well, she wouldn't really have that as an answer, so she walked up to no less than a BAR. A classy french little brasserie and ordered us some fresh ice cream. WE WERE DYING! We told her no, and the dang man at the door looked us like "like really? you're going to turn your grandma down? who are you?" So we went in and got ready to be struck by lightening...haha turns out it never came, but we sure got a good laugh out of it. really? neither of us can figure out how she got us in there. But she's so dang hilarious. Mom you would love her. She's a little irreverant sometimes. Anyways, as you can tell she's progressing just fine! i'm an awful missionary.
So, who else is SESTATIC for conference LIKE ME?? Anybody! Oh my goodness! I cannot wait. Here's a quote from Elder Erying to get us excited, "Ponder deeply and diligently in the scriptures and in the words of living prophets. Persist in prayer for the Holy Ghost to reveal to you the nature of god the father and his beloved son. Plead that the spirit will show you what The Lord wants you to do. Plan to do it. Promise him to obey. Act with determination until you have done what he asked. And then pray to give thanks for the opportunity to serve and to know what you might do next." Isn't that incredible? One of my dear friends sent me that this week, and it really touched me! That is what conference is. So get ready to learn, become and ACT! With the Holy Ghost, we can become new people this conference. I don't know about you but I'm sure ready for that! (especially after the bar...just saying...i'm really sorry....)

Well, everything else is going fabulous. We LOVE our lives and I love my mission! We're having so much fun and seeing the beauty EVERYWHERE. Went to Le Quesnoy for the last time and explored some cool bunker tunnels from WWI. I love France so much. Ah I love it all;
Thank you so much for your love and support. it means the world;
LOVE,
Soeur Cameron

Logan March 24, 2014

you may ask yourself what kind of a week we had based on the subject of this email. well sit down and buckle up those seat belts. because this is going to be wild. I hope you are all prepared because this is going to be great.
thank you so much for the letter you guys sent. it was so good to hear your testimonies of the law of the tithe. thank you so much it meant so much.
Derek is coming here??? i am so excited! i love that little lad.

i will just give you a list of topics that i will cover over the course of this email. i am just so excited to tell all of you so sorry for the poor grammar.

1. "women drivers: no survivors"
2. Sister Jeary is a Pro Bowler!
3. David got the Melchezedik Priesthood.
4. Sister donna's husband went to woodstock.
5. the candy man can
6. kelly's prayers.
7. grand poutine. la t-rex.
8. I shook the hand of 3 General Authorities.

ok so 1 and 6 are from kelly our investigator. He is hilarious, as you can tell from number 1. his prayers are very heartfelt and personally. for example: Dear Lord, please protect these missionaries, especially on the roads, there are a lot of fat greeks out there and when they open their doors they open them wide. i am sad i lost my court case, i have decided not to harm the man physically but i ask for your protection if the opportunity arrises. amen.

hahaha it is like that all the time.

2 and 4 were told to us on the same day. they are pretty self-explanatory. sister jeary is an old funny lady in our branch who is full of surprises and  sister donnas hubby went to woodstock. i thought that was neat.

5 was super funny. we were on our way to our lesson with our brazilian friends and we went to the elevator. this place i swear is like an old peoples hang out because they are the only kind of people who live there. so the doors opened and out came a really old man and a really old woman and i greeted them in french. but then the lady sang, "the candy man can" hahaha it was so hard not to laugh. and then the old man handed her a piece of candy. i almost died after the doors closed and we were alone.

number 8. Elder Anderson of the 12, Bishop Caussé from the presiding bishopric, and Elder Hallstrom from the presidency of the 70 came to montreal. We had mission conference. I think it may have been the best weekend of my mission. The spirit was so strong and i learned so much. we talked a lot about the atonement. Bishop Caussé is from france so he spoke to us in french. that was so cool. he talked about the tree of life and wanting others to taste of the fruit. he asked a question that i want to ask you all. you dont have to answer it is just for you. When was the last time you tasted the fruit of the Atonement? and when was the last time you repented? i thought those were very good questions that we should ask ourselves often.
mission conference was great. i got to see all my old friends, a lot of missionaries that are new that i dont know, and I got to shake the hand of 3 general authorities of the Church.

then right after we went to la banquese. i got a grand poutine which is number 7. La t-rex.
It was huge. and i finished it all.

and this is what happens after you finish a grand poutine.  it hurts. but i did it. yeah!!

and then we had a special stake conference where number 3happened. david got the priesthood! how neat is that. and president hailstrom was there. he spoke to us about living reverent lives. having respect and love for God. in all places. it was such a great meeting. I loved this week.

the only downer is a ripped my pants. to my suit. frowny face. i have one suit that remains.... haha

one thought that i would like to leave with all of you is the following.

please turn to 2nd Chronicles. chapter 20
please read from 1 to 25.

Then think about keeping our eyes on the Lord. how do we overcome evil? how do we keep the faith when there is an army coming to destroy us? how can we shut out all darkness? we keep our eyes on the Lord.

but how do we do this? well i was thinking that enduring to the end and keeping our eyes on the Lord is the same. so lets look at the Gospel of Jesus Christ. enduring to the end is the last point. so to keep enduring to the end we continue it the gospel. it is a circle. round and round it goes. but when we look at it from the side it is a spiral, working its way up to where the Father lives.

I love you all. I know Jesus is the Christ. He is our advocate with the Father. He is the only way to eternal salvation.

Natalie March 24, 2014

Why hello everyone!
What an incredible week I had over here. As you know, we took a train Monday night and stayed in Belgium for the night and went to the chapel in the morning to prepare for...Elder Christofferson! You could probably see from the pictures that there were 3 zones of us in Brussels. I do not know how lucky I got to be there. We sang for him as he walked in and he told us he wanted to weep with joy. It was a pretty special moment. We all got to shake is hand and talk with him for a moment. When he walked in the spirit was so strong and I felt of his authority and power.
Elder Christofferson began by telling us to ask him questions. It was a pretty cool setting. Being 10 feet away from an Apostle of the Lord. We asked him questions and with each one, he gave us personal sacred counsel that was meant for us. One of the questions asked was how can we know that we're accepted of the Lord? He began to teach of simple truths, then he gave us an Apostolic blessing. It was pretty incredible. He blessed us that in the coming weeks, we would have a specific moment where we would feel of God's acceptance. He counseled us to give gratitude for the experience then continue to press forward and work. It was a sacred moment and he said it with a lot of emtoion. At the time I didn't think about it, but afterwards, Soeur Richards and I wondered if he was emotional because he knew the feelings we would experience because he's felt them as an accepted servant of the Lord. It was pretty powerful and a moment I will never forget.
After all the questions were asked, he closed by thanking us for our work. He told us that the Apostles of the church are charged with a great responsibility to declare the gospel to the world. That the task is too big for them, so they have general authorities. The task was still to big, so they called us! And we said yes and we're almost 90,000 strong. What a miracle! Then, he bore solem witness of the Savior and His literal physical being and glory. He bore witness that Jesus Christ physically heads this church, and that He lives! And that we heard it come from His lips. It was a powerful moment in my mission and life! And I'll never forget it. I was able to play the piano for the meeting and as he left I was asked to play. We all stood as he walked out and I continued to play the piano. The spirit was so thick you could touch it! The missionaries all remained standing and no one could move. They just listened and stayed. No one wanted to move a muscle. It was such a cool feeling. After awhile they started singing and we just sang hymns for a long time.
So the next few days we continued to live on the high of Elder Christofferson just learning something new every time we talked about it. Friday we were just getting into our studies when I had a talk come to my mind! It was actually the talk that Ammon had suggested to me a few weeks ago about the Atonement by Cleon Skousen. (shout out Ammo thanks for being inspired) I looked in my folder and voilà! it was there sitting in the back. I began to read and my mind was opened up to things that I have never known before or understood. I learned about intelligences and God's relationship to us. I learned that everything is a miracle! I learned that honor is what makes God God, and He lives according to the Celestial Law. He says, " The Father says, 'Once I had put you down into the second estate, I lost complete control over the possibility of bringing you back Myself.' God the Father cannot save us. These are doctrines of the church that we seldom put in these dimensions. But that is the Easter story. This is really the Easter story." If there hadn't been another way we would've been lost. That's where the Savior steps in. For the first time in my life, I got a glimpse into who Heavenly Father truly is. For a moment, I saw that He's not just a King stitting upon a throne. He is working endlessly striving to fight for us! I used to think that because He was perfect He didn't really have emotions. But that's not true. I understood that He is a personality and He does live by a celestial law and that's what makes Him even more sublime. because if He faltered or slipped even a little, He would cease to be God. I saw Him as a real being with with feelings and a new perspective. I learned more of the Savior and my appreciation for His Atonement soared to levels higher than before. Heavenly Father is setting us up to succeed and He's tirelessly there at our side. He feels things. I learned sacred small truths about our Heavenly Father that I'd never known before.
As we shared our studies in comp study, we had an incredible experience! The spirit was strong and our little apartment became a temple again. We went about our day, and all of a sudden, we realized that Heavenly Father trusted us enough to give us a glimpse of who He really is. He accepted us and gave us a life changing experience to show us that He accepted our hearts and loved us. Elder Christofferson's apostolic blessing! We remembered what Elder Christofferson told us about taking a moment to thank Him then moving on and working. So we did! We were doing weekly planning and we were planning for our ami Jacqueline. She is our cute little old lady who has been an ami for 9 years! She is the one that tells us all about WWII here. Love her to death. We were at a road block, because she's told us she knows the gospel is true the bom everything! but she just doens't want to get baptized because of all of her children raised catholic. We knelt down and prayed to know what we could do to "cast our nets on the other side". As we prayed, we had a strong impression that we needed to baptize her. We received direct details. We looked at each other and said, "Let's do it now" So we ran and put on our shoes and literally kinda ran to her house. haha we looked crazy. She was surprised to see us but very happy! She let us in and we told her we had something really important to tell her. We explained the experience we'd had and told her that God wanted her to be baptized. On April 12th. The Spirit spoke through us and He was bold! we told her that her family was waiting for her on the other side. It was up to her. She was changed and saw the boldness and seriousness in our words. We committed her and asked if we could come everyday to read with her to prepare her. She accepted! We've gone back every day since and read with her, and she's progressing like I've never seen before. SHE WILL GET BAPTIZED. And she could use your prayers for this miracle!
In the talk I read he says, "I don't know what it does for you, but it has made me to love my Heavenly Father like I've never loved Him before. And I've learned to love the Savior Jesus Christ like I've never loved Him before. Now I know what those two wonderful people did for me and you and our children and all the people of this world, the planet on when we live-and all the beautiful things that He's blessed us with. It would have all been destroyed and lost if those two people hadn't done what they did. I love them for that."
I add my testimony with His, that I love them. I love them with all of my heart. After I learned all the new things about our Heavenly Father, my life has honestly not been the same; I pray differently, I think differently, and everything is different. I know He's there, working alongside us. He hears our prayers! And He loves us like I've never known before. That is why I'm here! Because Christ can't save someone that doesn't believe in Him. I'm here to help people believe.
I love you all so much. And I'm praying for you and working for you. I hope you have an incredible week. thank you so much for your love and support. I love you all!
Love,

Logan March 17, 2014

hello my family and dear friends,
how are all of you on this fine spring day, too bad it is not really spring up here. it is freezing cold. i went running this morning and lets just say that elder cameron isn't as fast as he once was. unfortunate. i am kind of getting heavy. so i have the goal to slim down and look slender again. wish me luck.

i am so sorry to hear about brother jones. he is a great guy, always willing to help out. count my prayers in.

mommy i hope you get to keep your job. how would barratt run without you?? i did get a camera too. and i think that was the only question i had to respond too
so this week wasn't too bad. we had a lot of cancellations and that was kind of lame. usually we get like 10 less active lessons a week and this week we only got 5. so it was a bummer, but we are working hard to reschedule and such.

we saw kelly this last week and he said something super profound. i wish to share it with you. procrastination is the bane of mankind. how true that is. i remember back in high school, many moons ago, i would usually wait until the last minute to do things. and it killed me. the same is true here, when we wait until the last minute it never works, i have a firm testimony of planning, and planning well. you can really see the blessings from it. that is probably why i love planning well. it is easy to see success. now sometimes it doesn't workout  but 9 times out of 10 it does. it is helping me prepare for my life after the mission.

we had a great lesson with our brazilians friends. they are so sososososo close to baptism. i can feel it. we talked about the end of the plan of salvation. it was awesome.  I love when we talk about the celestial kingdom. I want to go there so bad. it sounds nice.

we had a lesson with pauline our jamaican friend, and right after our branch pres called us and asked us if we wanted to go to our favorite restaurant ever marathon souvlaki. so we got to go and who should be playing but the seatle sounders and toronto. so i got to watch a little bit of soccer haha. what a tender mercy.

our branch president is such a great guy. he truly cares for every member of the branch. we have been working closely with him to find all of those lost sheep and to bring them back to the fold. i am so grateful for our ward at home. it is crazy to see how many people are less active here. that is our main focus right now. it is working well too.

so my friends. another week has come and gone, and my faith is still strong. and i want a ding dong.

love you all and God Bless

elder cameron

Natalie March 17, 2014

Well hello family,
It was great hearing from all of you! Thanks for your emails and support. Thank you for letting me know about Ryan Jones and his family. They are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot believe what people are going through. It blows my mind, and makes me so grateful for the Savior and His Atonement.
We had a really great week and I'm so grateful to be here. I am the happiest I've ever been and we love the ward here. It feels like I am a member and just one of the peeps. I love it. This week our agenda is full of rendez-vous with the members and our amis being taught by our members. It is such a miracle and such an answer to our prayers! We have been working so hard to develop this relationship and we finally have it! This week we had a miracle with one of our old amis Magalie. We haven't seen her in awhile and we felt like we needed to contact her again. So we did! And she was home and was so happy to see us. She is a young 33 year old mother with a daughter. She lost her baby recently and her father and her heart was a little wounded. This time, she had more light and was feeling more hope. We had an incredible rendez-vous and she told us that she watns us to come back! So we knelt and prayed to know who we could invite to teach with us and a woman came to our minds. She has never worked with the missionaries, she lives over an hour away from the church, she doesn't have a car, and her husband works. My natural man was hesitant in calling her, but I had president's voice come to my mind telling me that we need to invite the members to sacrifice. so i called her and left a message! Yesterday at church she came up to us and asked us more and we explained how we had prayed and felt like we needed her in our lesson. She told us that she would love to come! on top of that she asked another member to pick her up to come teach with us! More than 2 hours of route, but she's still doing it with a cheerful attitude. MIRACLE! How incredible. We are really excited.
This week we had a fun little moment too. We stopped by this cute little lady we found porting around Christmas. She told us if she didn't answer the door to try the side. So, she didn't answer and we walked around on the side. She has this huge field on the side of her house with a bunch of weeds. We started walking and pretty soon, our ankles felt like they had caught on fire! It was awful! I looked at Soeur Richards and was like, uh do you feel that? And she was like uh YEAH! All of a sudden, I started getting hives, and my veins started buldging with red growing up my legs...hah yeah have no idea what it was! But it hurt like heck! and we didn't know what to do. So we ran like crazy women out of the field and immediately said a prayer outloud. At the end of the prayer I heard  the word MUD. So we grabbed handfuls and handfuls of mud and slathered them all over our legs. haha we looked so ridiculous! But the pain soothed, and pretty soon the hives left. It was the weirdest thing ever! But a funny moment. See mom, God takes care of us! Remember all those times you told us to put mud on stings when we were little? Well it was for that moment. haha have no idea what it was.
Yesterday, I got to speak in sacrament on repentance! I talked about the power of light and how the Savior gives us that opporunity to have His light each time we repent. I told the Story of Corrie Ten Boom and how she was able to use the Savior's forgiveness to forgive the Nazi guard. (that one was for your mom) It was cool because yesterday we were with the Rousseaux's again for an FHE with the little girl's family that we are preparing for baptism. We were talking about the Plan of Salvation and Frere Rousseaux was talking about the 3 degrees of glory. He talked about it's all about how bright we want to shine. Do we want to shine as bright as a start with a little light, or a little more with the moon's light, or do we want to shine with the sun's light and light everything around us? It was such a sweet moment and it made so much sense to me too! How bright are we going to shine? We choose it!
I am so grateful for the Rousseaux family, this week Charlie the 4 year old asked his mom if he could get the "seminaires" flowers when we were going to come to his house. So they bought fake flowers so we could keep them with us always. We died. This Sunday we walked away with a whole array of gifts from the members. We felt loved and a part of the ward. Drawings from all the little kids, books from the members, flowers from boys! And a planner full of rendez-vous. What more could you want? I am in heaven here and love it so much!
Well I'm headed off to get on a train! We're headed to Belgium tonight to stay there for the night because tomorrow we have....wait for iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit....ELDER CHRISTOFFERSON!! woot woot!!! I have been sedang excited for this! (that one was for you just) He's coming for our zone conference with 2 other zones and we were lucky enough to be one of them. We get to spend the day with him and I can NOT wait! The moral force of women anyone?? The man changed my life! I'm so pumped. I think I might even have him sign my copy...haha.

Love you all so much and I hope you have a beautiful week. You are all in my thoughts and prayers always.
Love,
Soeur Cameron

Logan March 10, 2014

You may wonder why i titled this email, "you win some you lose some" well here is the story. I was on a slit with elder williams. great guy i love him. and we were in the process of heart attacking some members in our ward, specifically David who we just baptized. I have been recording all heart attacks on my camera and so i had my camera out ready to film. I pressed record and all of the sudden my beautiful, red, amazing camera fell out of my incredibly soft hands and crashed upon the rough frozen asphalt. I let out a scream and tears flew, and tried to repair my small friend, but my efforts were in vain. for the damage had been done, and my knowledge of cameras is very limited. He is gone, and I will never take another picture with him ever again.
But other then that my week wasn't bad at all. Had a great split with elder williams. He is my zone leader whom i affectionately call my zone lord. We went all the way up to saint sauveur. a great little ski town with 2 less active members, unfortunately we got in touch with none of them. but we did find out that one does not live there any more. so we did a little spring cleaning on the branch list.
speaking of spring, we are still in winter, it snowed this morning. but it isn't too cold. it hovers around 0 Celsius.
I gave a blessing this week. that was neat. first time i have ever sealed the anointing. So grateful for the spirit. haha lets just leave it there.

em i dont konw chandler judd. sounds familiar though. sounds like a cool mission.

sorry  mommy i was cross with you about not answering my question. i thought it would be funny because you do that do me sometimes when i forget to answer questions.

dad good luck with your trip to the land of my name's sake. love it up there.
I usually write down all major events that occurred during the week in my planner but i left it in the car. so next week if i forgot something i will give you more details.

So i have grown to appreciate the way that ammon teaches in the book of mormon. we have to teach this way with our investigators from brazil. i love them so much. they are so great and so ready to hear the gospel. so mom you weren't all wrong about my mission i am teaching brazilians. just in canada. But with simple things power is present. I have a firm testimony of that.

well my companion has to go to the bathroom really bad so i am going to call a time out and give you more details next week. but the important thing mom is that i am well and i am happy and i am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I love you all and pray your safety.

Well bonjour tout le monde!
Wow this week was so great! It is absolutely beautiful. It has been in the high 60's and 70's this week and I have been in HEAVEN. The tights came off and the coat was left behind and we have just been "sestatic". That one was for all you fans out there.
So first off, i have to show you this video because i am just so SESTATIC about it! This is my MISSION! And this is my good friend Elder Hunter Glover. I just served with him here in Valenciennes. And I served near him in Paris as well. This is a video of him and his ami in Paris. The video clips are all places i've walked and been! Paris in real life! It's such a cool video. This man met the missionaries just outside of St; Meri. It's the church we all meet at for transfers! in the heart of paris.

This week was so fun. We went to the Rousseaux's again. Each week we go and spend a day in their town. They pick us up at the gare and pray for us, then we go out and find in their area for a couple of hours. Then we eat with them and tell them about our day. It's so much fun and has been the coolest experience! Their little boy Charlie is our new best friend. He told us that he will protect us from all the pirates and stuff. We don't have to worry. We taught him a little lesson at his house and made a paper boat then did the classic mama's trick by cutting off the sides and having it turn into a tshirt! (thanks mom) We taught how Jesus called his Apostles when they were fishing and how they put up their nets to be missionaries. So when we cut up the boat it was a white shirt and tie with his little name on the tag. It was pretty cute. When his dad came home he asked him what he'd learned about. He replied, "fishing". Then they asked fishing what? and he said "people!". It was the cutest thing ever. Yesterday at church he sat behind us and had his arms around the both of us behind us while we sang. We have our little protector. He's going to serve in Utah in about 14 years. So get ready for Charlie! This is a picture of us making a cake together!
This week we also started teaching a 9 year old girl named Amanda! She hasn't been baptized and has a harder homelife. She's come to church ever since she was little but really doesn't know a lot. We asked her who the Savior was and she really didn't know. It was a shock for us, but we have gone to work with tons of object lessons and stories and stuff and we are getting her ready for baptism! We are really excited. And this week she read teh book of mormon with her family and prayed even! We are seeing such progession with her and we're really excited.
My studies were incredible this week. I made a goal to learn something new each day! And through the Holy Ghost, I was able to. I studied virtue from PMG in the Christ-like Attributes. I read multiple talks from Sister Dalton that she's given over the past 10 years and I was amazed and filled with the Spirit at how much I've been affected by her "call to virtue". I will never forget listening her to her talks as a young woman and having that same drive and desire to STAND and to make virtue a priority in my life. I remember going to girl's camp and planning our virtue hike and standing on top of a mountain peak declaring to the world that I would STAND for virtue. And now, for the first time I have seen an eternal view of why I chose to stand and do it. Never before in my life have I been so surrounded by evil and filth and immorality. It has opened my eyes to just how real the advesary is. But this is why a call to return to virtue is so important! It was already in us before we ever came. One of my favorite quotes from Sister Dalton is, "When we are worthy, we can not only enter the temple, the temple can enter us. The Lord's promises of salvation and happiness become ours and our earthly mission becomes His;"
Isn't that incredible?? It blew me away! I realized why virtue was so important! It was preparing us to enter the temple and to go on our missions and to get married! I found a verse in Revelation that says, "They shall walk with me in white for they are worthy" Revelation 3:4
Pretty incredible right? so then the scriptures led me to D&C 101:39
 39 When men are called unto mine aeverlasting gospel, and covenant with an everlasting covenant, they are accounted as the bsalt of the earth and the savor of men;
When we are married, we don't just get sealed for eternity. When we are married, we accept another call! Another mission call. A call to serve the rest of our lives and waste away our lives in His service. We are called to be the "savor of men". Isn't that incredible?? And that, is why virtue is so important! Because it is preparing us all to be "savor of men". Mom it reminded me of your quote you sent me about being "Saviors on mount zion" How cool is that!? I will never look at marriage the same again. We learned a ton about it as we've been teaching out amis about the temple. Ah it's so incredible. I truly believe that because I haven't had a temple on my mission, God has replaced it with temple sacred moments in my little studies in the morning and throughout the day. I have learned more about my covenants than ever! And I am pumped beyond belief to return to the temple in 7 months.
I'm really grateful for Sister Dalton and her words, also for my virtueous sisters, but especially you mom. For helping me see the importance of living a virtuous life. You prepared me to go to the temple and be out here! And now it's preparing me for even more.
Well I sure do love you all. Thank you so much for the package! I loved it so much and died over the stories and letters. I read them over and over. I love you all and I am praying for you with all of my heart. I am so grateful for your love and support.
Love,
Your nat girl

hey y'all.
elder cameron here. how are all of you doing. that is great. mother i asked a question and you didn't answer. but thank you jessica for answering my question. you are now my favorite. but dont worry other family members repentance is always an option.

I hope that grandfather is alright. i will be praying for him. he is a tough scott.  i will give a spiritual dollar to whomever can tell me what movie that quote comes from. hint i watch it often.

man this week has been great. I love the Chomedey branch. i am pretty sure i am a member of the branch now because i have been forever and will most likely stay for a while longer. heck i may just stay here..... haha dont worry i have to come home first. visa issues.

so i got a hair cut this last week. a sister in the french ward gave me one. i felt like it was old times, getting my hair cut from aunt jenny and falling asleep. i almost fell asleep. haha. but it looks great. she is totally in on all the new styles.

I got to give a blessing this week. in french. it was swell. i have given more blessings in french then in english. weird. i love it though. french is a great language. the man was going into the hospital and he is an investigators of the sisters in laval so they asked us if we could help. of course we love to help. it was a really cool experience.

we have these 2 investigators from brazil. they are so cool. super prepared. the only problem is they have to get married then we can baptize them. but elson, the man, is the one that is a little hesitant and luzia is ready to get wet. we had a great lesson with them this last week. we talked about the restoration. awesome tellement bon.

Hey all!
What another crazy week. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the process.
So this week we had to go to Paris for Soeur Richard's legality. So we went in and she left with the other bleus and I stayed with their trainers and we got to go work out in Paris for the day. It was really fun and a beautiful day. It was my first time actually working inside Paris même before. We did some work in an Indian cartier and met some cool people. We got some referrals for the sisters in Paris.
We had a training also on the training program then ate lunch. After I surprised Soeur Richards by taking her to the famous Paris Opera house; She's a ballerina and has always dreamed of seeing it so I made some arrangements and we went and snuck a peak or two. It was really fun to see her face. It was also really cool because they were doing construction and as we were walking by, literally two small pieces just fell right in front of us, so naturally i may or may not have picked them up...and i may or may not have a piece of the Paris Opera house. no big or anything. Our tender mercy for the day.
So Wednesday, we went out to a ville called Iwuy. We have these incredible members that just moved here. And they are on fire with having the desire to do missionary work! They are a young family and he served his mission in Montreal. She is a convert, and they have the cutest kids ever. So we went to their home, he came home on his lunch and we prayed all together. He prayed for us that we would find people to teach and that their home would always be open for the missionaries adn the people in their city. It was pretty incredible. I had lost my voice at the beginning of the week and really had no idea how we were going to do it. So we prayed for a miracle that i would be able to speak, i opened my mouth and voilà. I could talk. Such a miracle. So with our prayer in our hearts, we left their house and began working. There was an incredible cemetary at the edge of town with a big memorial for WWI we had a cool moment where we felt the ancestors of these people telling us to find their posterity. We know that there's someone in that ville who is ready! We knocked doors for 3 hours. We got 150 knocked, which is a pretty big miracle. We ended up finding 3 people who invited us to come back! We're really excited and will be going back this week. As we were doing the last contact, my companion was talking to a woman and i saw a police car pull up. After we finished talking with the lady, they came over and I realized they were coming for us! haha oh boy. A first time for everything right?
So they proceeded to interrogate me for about a good 10 minutes asking specific questions about why we were there and what we were doing in that town  and how we got there and who we knew...etc. But the funniest part, is they asked me what we say to people when we knock their doors. So naturally, I just contacted them and shared our message with them. haha after that they were pretty nice and let us go with no major problems. I mean really? What are 2 little girls that look like they're 15 who talk about Jesus going to do in a neighborhood at 5:00 on a Tuesday night...haha people are crazy. I'm a real Gangsta now mom. no biggie! hittin with the big boys.

So we made it back to the Rosseaux's and we told them what had happened and how I had contacted the police with our message. I didn't realize what I'd done till after when it was a little less scary, but we laughed and laughed and laughed about it. It was so great to be in their home and to have them. They are incredible and are always there for us.
We also got a referal from the church, which was way cool! We haven't had one in a long time. We went and figured out how to get there and bought train tickets and left as soon as we could. We got all teh way out there and it was pouring rain! Cats and dogs! We walked and walked with our little googlemap printout and finally found it! Turns out shes really not interested, but it was cool to go and sacrifice to see if we can find people who are ready.
And my greatest blessing this week, happened Tuesday. I've told you a little bit about my Pierache family here. They are incredible and have been members for a little over a year. They are constantly helping us and treating us like their kids. Well this week; they went to England and got sealed as a family! Some of the ward members went and surprised them to be there for the ceremony. We heard nothing but incredible things and I had a moment to sit and talk with Soeur Pierache about how she felt. She told me how excited she was for me when I could do it with my husband some day; Ah that is why i'm here!!! To find people like the Pierache's who are ready! they are incredible! spoke in stake conference last week, sealed this week. BOSSES.
Well here goes another transfer! I hit my 11 month mark today. Can you believe it? 4 more transfers to go. Time is flying too fast.
Here are some pics of us at the opera house!
Also shout out to dad. Thanks for sending me in the MTC dad. Sure came in handy this week.
also this is me doing the flan suck! french tradition. suck pudding up your throat. super fun...haha
And out in the rain contacting our lady.
Well sure do love you all! hope you have a great week. Keep calm and carry on, carry on, carry on!!
LOVE,
Sœur Cameron
