Natalie March 24, 2014

Why hello everyone!
What an incredible week I had over here. As you know, we took a train Monday night and stayed in Belgium for the night and went to the chapel in the morning to prepare for...Elder Christofferson! You could probably see from the pictures that there were 3 zones of us in Brussels. I do not know how lucky I got to be there. We sang for him as he walked in and he told us he wanted to weep with joy. It was a pretty special moment. We all got to shake is hand and talk with him for a moment. When he walked in the spirit was so strong and I felt of his authority and power.
Elder Christofferson began by telling us to ask him questions. It was a pretty cool setting. Being 10 feet away from an Apostle of the Lord. We asked him questions and with each one, he gave us personal sacred counsel that was meant for us. One of the questions asked was how can we know that we're accepted of the Lord? He began to teach of simple truths, then he gave us an Apostolic blessing. It was pretty incredible. He blessed us that in the coming weeks, we would have a specific moment where we would feel of God's acceptance. He counseled us to give gratitude for the experience then continue to press forward and work. It was a sacred moment and he said it with a lot of emtoion. At the time I didn't think about it, but afterwards, Soeur Richards and I wondered if he was emotional because he knew the feelings we would experience because he's felt them as an accepted servant of the Lord. It was pretty powerful and a moment I will never forget.
After all the questions were asked, he closed by thanking us for our work. He told us that the Apostles of the church are charged with a great responsibility to declare the gospel to the world. That the task is too big for them, so they have general authorities. The task was still to big, so they called us! And we said yes and we're almost 90,000 strong. What a miracle! Then, he bore solem witness of the Savior and His literal physical being and glory. He bore witness that Jesus Christ physically heads this church, and that He lives! And that we heard it come from His lips. It was a powerful moment in my mission and life! And I'll never forget it. I was able to play the piano for the meeting and as he left I was asked to play. We all stood as he walked out and I continued to play the piano. The spirit was so thick you could touch it! The missionaries all remained standing and no one could move. They just listened and stayed. No one wanted to move a muscle. It was such a cool feeling. After awhile they started singing and we just sang hymns for a long time.
So the next few days we continued to live on the high of Elder Christofferson just learning something new every time we talked about it. Friday we were just getting into our studies when I had a talk come to my mind! It was actually the talk that Ammon had suggested to me a few weeks ago about the Atonement by Cleon Skousen. (shout out Ammo thanks for being inspired) I looked in my folder and voilĂ ! it was there sitting in the back. I began to read and my mind was opened up to things that I have never known before or understood. I learned about intelligences and God's relationship to us. I learned that everything is a miracle! I learned that honor is what makes God God, and He lives according to the Celestial Law. He says, " The Father says, 'Once I had put you down into the second estate, I lost complete control over the possibility of bringing you back Myself.' God the Father cannot save us. These are doctrines of the church that we seldom put in these dimensions. But that is the Easter story. This is really the Easter story." If there hadn't been another way we would've been lost. That's where the Savior steps in. For the first time in my life, I got a glimpse into who Heavenly Father truly is. For a moment, I saw that He's not just a King stitting upon a throne. He is working endlessly striving to fight for us! I used to think that because He was perfect He didn't really have emotions. But that's not true. I understood that He is a personality and He does live by a celestial law and that's what makes Him even more sublime. because if He faltered or slipped even a little, He would cease to be God. I saw Him as a real being with with feelings and a new perspective. I learned more of the Savior and my appreciation for His Atonement soared to levels higher than before. Heavenly Father is setting us up to succeed and He's tirelessly there at our side. He feels things. I learned sacred small truths about our Heavenly Father that I'd never known before.
As we shared our studies in comp study, we had an incredible experience! The spirit was strong and our little apartment became a temple again. We went about our day, and all of a sudden, we realized that Heavenly Father trusted us enough to give us a glimpse of who He really is. He accepted us and gave us a life changing experience to show us that He accepted our hearts and loved us. Elder Christofferson's apostolic blessing! We remembered what Elder Christofferson told us about taking a moment to thank Him then moving on and working. So we did! We were doing weekly planning and we were planning for our ami Jacqueline. She is our cute little old lady who has been an ami for 9 years! She is the one that tells us all about WWII here. Love her to death. We were at a road block, because she's told us she knows the gospel is true the bom everything! but she just doens't want to get baptized because of all of her children raised catholic. We knelt down and prayed to know what we could do to "cast our nets on the other side". As we prayed, we had a strong impression that we needed to baptize her. We received direct details. We looked at each other and said, "Let's do it now" So we ran and put on our shoes and literally kinda ran to her house. haha we looked crazy. She was surprised to see us but very happy! She let us in and we told her we had something really important to tell her. We explained the experience we'd had and told her that God wanted her to be baptized. On April 12th. The Spirit spoke through us and He was bold! we told her that her family was waiting for her on the other side. It was up to her. She was changed and saw the boldness and seriousness in our words. We committed her and asked if we could come everyday to read with her to prepare her. She accepted! We've gone back every day since and read with her, and she's progressing like I've never seen before. SHE WILL GET BAPTIZED. And she could use your prayers for this miracle!
In the talk I read he says, "I don't know what it does for you, but it has made me to love my Heavenly Father like I've never loved Him before. And I've learned to love the Savior Jesus Christ like I've never loved Him before. Now I know what those two wonderful people did for me and you and our children and all the people of this world, the planet on when we live-and all the beautiful things that He's blessed us with. It would have all been destroyed and lost if those two people hadn't done what they did. I love them for that."
I add my testimony with His, that I love them. I love them with all of my heart. After I learned all the new things about our Heavenly Father, my life has honestly not been the same; I pray differently, I think differently, and everything is different. I know He's there, working alongside us. He hears our prayers! And He loves us like I've never known before. That is why I'm here! Because Christ can't save someone that doesn't believe in Him. I'm here to help people believe.
I love you all so much. And I'm praying for you and working for you. I hope you have an incredible week. thank you so much for your love and support. I love you all!
Love,
Soeur Cameron 100 % No regrets I've promised to Give MORE
