First off, I have to give my
parents a shout out. Happy Anniversary. Hope you know how much i love
you and how grateful i am for all that you've done.
So glad that everyone is doing so well. Loge i'm
so pumped for your new area. All of my Quebec elders keep saying how
happy they are are for you. You are going to LOVE IT. Can't believe that the summer is almost coming to a close. Time is just flying by.
Things here were
really great ! We had back to back exchanges. I went with sœur Mackay
serving in Blois and we had a blast! We got rained on and had some fun
porting. then I went to Nogent to serve with sœur Tupai. She is from
Tahiti and is the cutest ever. I love her a lot. We saw a lot of
miracles together and laughed our heads off. I love Tahitians. Their
french is as beautiful as their hearts.
We also had band practice this week for our musical fireside we have this Saturday!
We're really excited for it. It's going to be so great. I'll be taking
pictures so you can all see. I have such a strong testimony of the power
of music.
This week we saw so many miracles and i
wish i had 3 hours to tell you about them all. We have amis progressing
all over the place! It's insane! So many miracles. We felt inspired to
call a woman we found in our area book, and we had a rendez-vous with
her. We went and immediately became great friends! We invited her to
come to church and she came and loved it. She told us she wants to
prepare to be baptized! MIRACLE.
So we also randomly met some Americans on
the bus this week. There were 2 kids our age with their luggage just
getting in from Utah. They are here for a few months. Well Saturday
night they were a little lost and this nice girl helped them get home!
So they invited her to come to church with them. So she came! And she is
SO GOLDEN! SHe loved church and we are going to meet with her this
week. AH there are beautiful people everywhere we look. I LOVE IT.
Well mom and dad. I just hope you know how
much I love you. And how grateful I am for all you've done for us in
these past 29 years. You have done nothing but leave a legacy of love
for us. Because of you, we have been able to dream. Because of you We've
been able to run with our dreams, and now we're flying. Because of you
we know who we are. Because of you we believe in Christ. Because of you
we love each other. Because of you we are strong. Because of you we are
witnesses. Because of you we are JOYFUL. Because of you we are safe.
Because of you we can help. Because of you we are one. Because of you we
can be thousands of miles away but closer than ever before. Because of
you, I am here. and I am me. Because of you we see. Because of you your
legacy will live on.
Elder Osguthorpe said, "When
we are sealed in the temple to our eternal mate, we again make
covenants that strengthen our will. We can feel the strengthening power
of the Atonement every time we enter God’s holy house. It is there that
we covenant to consecrate ourselves to the Lord. This is why Elder
Maxwell said, “Don’t wait too long to find the altar [and] to place the
gift of your wills upon it.”15 He
may have been speaking metaphorically, but he was, I believe, also
speaking clearly about how we can give our will to God by making and
keeping covenants with Him."
Thank
you for giving your wills to God. For bringing your will and heart to
the alter and fighting so that we could learn the same thing too. You'll
never know the impact you've made on thousands of people, all because
you gave your wills together. I will be eternally grateful for your
examples and the love and support you've given me over these past almost
22 years and especially over these past 18 months. I wish you the best
anniversary ever. Dad go take mom and do something great to feel just
exactly what you 2 have done.
I
love you all so much! And i'm SO grateful for your support and your
prayers. I felt them so strongly this week. They are healing, beautiful
experiences. I love you so much! Hope you have a great week.
