Logan August 5, 2013

hello all,
another week has gone by, amazing. thank you so much for all of the prayers and all thoughts that have been given in my behalf. i can feel a power sustaining me. sometimes after hours of knocking you get down and feel like its not worth it, but everytime i think of Doctine and covenants 131, or at least i think it is 131 when Joseph is in liberty jail. he cries unto God asking him why He has forsaken him, and when i think of that the spirit floods my body and a voice comes into my head and says: fear not little one for I am with thee. and then i continue on because i know why i am here.

so not a whole lot happened this week. we just knocked a ton. we had a couple D.A.s with la famille Vadnais and with le famille Gaboriault. the vadnais are from alberta and the dad has a terrible accent haha it is worse than mine. so we just speak in english when we are at there house which is awesome. and yesterday we had a souper chez Gaboriault. they are the best family in the ward. Maxim Gaboriault, i am sure i have mentioned previously, is the ward mission leader. He is about 23 24. he is so cool. he speaks English too so it is fun to joke around with him. he used to tease elder rasmussen about a girl at home named ashley. so last night during the prayer he prayed for elder rasmussen and ashley in utah. i was laughing so hard.

french is coming slowly but surely. It is difficile but i am trying hard. i appreciate the prayers for the gift of tongues. i need it.

We have been planning a party thing for  september called: la fete de famille, or the corn bust in english. that is fun. we are going to do a talent show, so we have been asking all of the families to prepare a talent or to simply bring an activity for the ward to do at the party. i am really excited for it. i am going to play the mandolin for it so we will see how that goes. Maxim plays guitar so he said that we might play something together. that would be fun.

i do have one funny story. while we were knocking we knocked into this guy and he was kind of making fun of us and was totally high and offered us drugs, we said yeah do you have water? totally joking but he brought out 2 bottles of water, don't worry mom they were still sealed. then we talked to him for a little. he was funny.

we were knocking yesterday, and we knocked this ladies door. she came and said i don't speak french well, she was hispanic, and we said how about english? she said oh yes i speak english. so we talked to her about the church for a while. she was really interested, the only problem is she is going back to mexico for 2 months, so hopefully brayden will find her and baptize her. that would be neat.

other than that i dont have too many stories for y'all this week. just keep truckin a long. i have a split tomorrow. that should be fun. it is with elder smith. he is from utah. i actually played him in soccer. he plays for east and we played them in preseason back during my jr year. it was cool to talk to him on the phone about that. they totally destroyed our team so i didn't talk to much about it. haha.

well i guess thats it for the week, until next week .

i love you all and pray for you. I have felt your prayers this week. they are helping me realize why i am here. Just like nat said. i can feel them from utah Logan and american fork and from france. and maybe some other countries i don't know.

love you all

elder cameron
 tout est bien
