Bonjour tout le monde!!
It was so great hearing from you and seeing how your week went. Mom and Dad Happy Anniversary!! Thought about you all day yesterday. I am so grateful for you and for the parents and people you are. I'm here because of you and I'll never be able to repay you for what you've given me. I'm trying my best to work hard in your name!
Speaking of working hard....So I got transfered to the great city of Melun! My new companion is Soeur Grewar from Australia and she is INCREDIBLE. Wow her testimony is one of the strongest i've ever seen. She is a convert of almost 3 years and is going home in October. After this she'll have 1 more transfer. We get along really well and we both love to work hard. wow we've hit the ground running and are going at 100 miles per hour. It is AMAZING
So Melun is a suburb of Paris. So we have navigos which means on pdays we can go anywhere in Paris! Pretty fun. We have a list going of things we,re going to do. The Louvre is what I'm looking forward to the most!
Melun is very beautiful and is along the Seine. We ran along it this morning and it was incredible. There were baby swans and ducks all over and the sun was just rising. It was incredible! Sometimes I have to stop for a sec and realize I'm in Paris! There is a ward here and they are amazing. This week we really focused on less actives and visited a ton! It was really great. Yesterday the Bishop's family invited us over for a BBQ. Their son just returned home from his mission and served with Richard Flores from American Fork. He took a picture and sent it to him! Small world.
Friday we visited with Soeur Cunche. She is a strong member here that has changed the world of France. She is a pioneer for this country and has brought the gospel to a lot of people including my mission president! I felt really honored and privilidged to be in her home and speak with her: She is very humble and has such a pure heart.
We also did some service on Thursday and helped on of the members move. She was so kind and fed us like queens! She is from Hong Kong and speaks great english. We got along really well and she was so fun.
We have a lot of great amis that i'm still trying to remember and know and a lot of great ward members. Yesterday at church a man came and got me and asked me to sit by a lady they didn't know. I went over and she just happened to show up because she lived close! miracle! I talked with her for awhile after and gave her a book of mormon and have a rendez-vous with her this week. Her name is Zora. It is really incredible here and i can just feel the miracles waiting to happen.
Also a fun little piece of news! Solyea in Tours is getting baptized this week. We will be over that way for some legality business so by a miracle I get to go!!! I am so excited! They were so sweet and even changed the time so i could make it because they want me to play the piano. What an incredible family. I miss them! So excited for friday! my second baptism in tours!!
This week i've studied a lot about the Atonement. I read a talk by Elder Bednar and loved this quote: "As you and I come to understand and employ the enabling power of the Atonment in our personal lives, we will pray and seek for strength to change our circumstances rather than praying for our circumstances to be changed. We become agents who act rather than objects that are acted upon." Wow has that been true this week! Being in my second area was scary at first because in a sense you really do start over. But as i have tried to use the enabling power of the Atonment and have strived to ask for strength to bear these challenges, i have felt Him lift me up. I know that He lives and this is His work. What an honor it is to be a part of it. I love my mission with all of my heart. Its the hardest thing i've ever done! But i know it will be the most rewarding,
i love you all so much and can't thank you enough for your support, it means the world.
i hope you all have an incredible week and remember there's someone in France who is praying for you everyday! Thank you for the people you are!
Love,
Your Soeur Cameron
100 % no regrets. i've promised to give more
